O Christmas Tree

We picked up our Christmas tree in our 1958 bus, "Rusty" again this year. This is one of our Christmas traditions.

It wasn't as old this year as it was last year. We didn't need to ride with the propane heater in the bus this time. Merry Christmas

SunShine DayDream

A quick post about Sunshine Daydream with lots of pictures. Sunshine Daydream is always on or around July 4th. I love this camp out because we get to camp right up in the trees.

Jonah got to bring his bike. Can you tell he loves sharks ( Jaws shirt and shark bike helmet on) with our bus Jaws ( who he named ) in the back ground?

The American flag flies high over the camp out.

A very relaxing / fun camp out. This is Mark asleep. (teehee)

Fun in the water.

The view from my bus. Pilot Mountain in NC.

My children trying to fish. They are so sweet and cute.

Lots of frogs at Sunshine Daydream. Jonah loves to catch them and set them free.

We eat soo good when we are camping. Here Dawnn is making Philly cheese steaks. Yumm.

Enjoying friends.

They shoot off the most wonderful display of fireworks every year. They are just gorgeous in the sky. I didn't get any good pictures this year of them though.

We stopped at Dan River on the way home and played in the water.

Here are my sweet children sleeping on the way home. :o)

NaturalBus 2011

We've been going to NaturalBus since 2003, my son Jonah was only a few months old at his first campout, now he is 8 years old. This is the closest campout to us so it's easy to make. It is usually very very HOT, but this year the weather was wonderful and in the 80's.

NaturalBus is held at the Yogi Bear Jellystone Park in Natural Bridge, Va. It is a Fullmoon Bus campout. And every year some of the men find a bus, fix it up and raffle it off.

We camp by the same people every very, our moonie family. Check out my sweet bus twinkle lights.

The water is a must at this campout because of the heat. There is a water slide, a lake and

a pool. I usually stay in the pool. I am scared of the lake.

Jonah got to fish! He is loving it. He wants to be Jeremy Wade when he grows up.

Here is the raffle bus being driven after being won. I didn't know the winner. The money from the raffle goes to the Ronald McDonald House in Raleigh, Va.

Here is my annual picture of my children with Yogi!! They get their picture taken here every year after the campout.

We had a fabulous time. Weather was perfect, some of our friends were missing ,but we had a lot of them there! And the food was good as usual. Oh... and I slept like a rock both nights in the bus! I love sleeping in our bus , it is sooo comfortable and cozy.

T.R.O.M.

The 2011 camping season has officially started. And I am just so happy about it. I don't like the months of December, January, and February. They are dark, cold, and we don't camp. But once March hits.... it starts to warm up a bit, stay light longer and camping season for us has started. We got TROMotized this weekend at T.R.O.M. Which stands for The Rides Of March.

The camp out is in Atkinson, NC on a river swamp. The weather was beautiful and 69 degrees Saturday.
The hubs, my Babe, cooks a lot when we camp. Which is an awesome plus because I hate to cook. Here he is cooking up some breakfast Saturday morning. I think these were the hash-browns. Yummm.

I don't have the official 'bus' count yet, but there were more then 27 there. This Winter my Babe installed a big screen and mounted the DVD player into the cabinet. Little Jo, pictured here in the front seat loves to watch movies on the way there and back home. We watched "Monsters vs Aliens" Saturday night curled up the bus bed which is so cozy and warm.

They had a big game room at TROM. With air hockey, a pool table and a ping pong table. Little Jo lived on the air hockey table all weekend.

I got lots of stitching done. Doing my two favorite things.... camping and sewing.

Here is a photo of our bus at night. For Christmas my in laws gave me some twinkle lights shaped like little buses. Perfect. They were so cute hanging up. TROM had a band there Saturday night too, but I didn't get pictures of them. I stayed back at the bus while my Babe went to listen to them by the camp fire. He said they were great!

TROM had some cool little boats available to take a ride in.
Dinner and door prizes Saturday night. We won a cool wooden VW sign. Little Jo wants to put it in his room. And those are cooked oysters on the table to the right. I didn't eat any.

Jaws ran great to the camp out and going home. A great way to start the camping season! And on the way home we stopped by to see family, my Babe's family. Here he is with his granny. We were so happy to see her up and out.
